Since the end of the war of the website browsers, new web browsers have been produced and released on the Internet scene. Many of the modern web browsers are open source which means that they tend to have a more rapid development and are more compliant to the modern rules and website standards.

Todays standards for website design

The consortium has issued new standards for HTML and CSS, besides the modern JavaScript API, each one has a new standard, but unique from others. While, the term HTML5 is only used to refer to the new implementation of HTML and some of the JavaScript API, it is common place to use it to refer to the complete new collection of standards (HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript). The new standards for website design is a huge bounce forward for website designers to make contemporary websites for the new website browsers.
